James Joseph Daly
immigrated t the United States in 1913. Approximately 3 months
after his arrival, Margaret Mary Mangan arrived in New York City.
The two met and married in New York on October 10, 1915. While
honeymooning in Presque Isle County in 1915, the two decided to make
Onaway, Michigan their home where they would raise their 11 children.
All of the children graduated from Onaway High School.

The family resided in Onaway on Lynn
Street on two separate occasions. They also lived in a home on
Maple Street before moving to Black Lake in 1948. In 1961,
James and Margaret moved to California.
They celebrated their 50th Wedding anniversary in 1965.
